You say where you want to go and the captain decides when it is safe to go there. That is the law as well as good sense.

In practice the plan we build with you before boarding is what happens, reordered for wind. The Tobago Cays and the run to Union Island are the weather-led days; Bequia and Mustique are reliable almost any week in season.

A captain who moves your Cays night is improving your week, not spoiling it. They are reading a forecast you cannot see from the deck.
